What would you do for a Klondike bar? contest
One winner will receive $100,000 and a trip for two to attend a one-on-one digital short consultation with Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island and “Saturday Night Live.” . To enter the contest, go to www.KlondikeContest.com to register and submit your original video. Videos should run between 15-90 seconds, and each person appearing in them should be at least 18 years of age or older. For specific formats and additional details check the official rules online at www.KlondikeContest.com. Contest categories include four categories: Laughs – to tickle the funny bone, Flaunt It – to show off unique capabilities, Did You See That? – for the cool kid in all of us, Everything Else – a category that encourages creativity. Contest ends 07/31/08.

My problem with these contests is this:
Over 1,000 videos were submitted. Only one wins. Meanwhile, Klondike has permission to use every one of those 1,000 videos for free for ever.
Scenario, the person who wins the $100,000, never has his video really go anywhere.
Meanwhile, several others go viral and make it around the world 3 times. Guess how much compensation the creator gets????? Zero. None, Nada.
I’m all for contests, but if I don’t win, don’t use my stuff. if you use my stuff, pay for it.
